Making A Difference Focus Program Travels to India

To begin - a little about the awesome TEAM:

A picture of most of the Focus Team in front of the bulletin board for the Bayridge students to follow our India adventure with us!

Lauren - Aloha folks... I am the only grade 11 in this program. I have been elected the honourary grandmother of this trip because of my cookie and tea and knitting skills, and I can't remember ever being this excited for anything in my honourary 95 years. This will be the first time that I stray from this continent and I can't think of a better trip to set the standard for the rest of my traveling experiences! :)

Emma- Goodness gracious, who would have ever imagined that one day we would be heading to an exotic land such as India. It's felt so far away for the longest time and now it's just around the corner. I feel unbelievably blessed to have been given this opportunity. I can't wait to experience the adventures that await us!!! No day but today!

HyeBin- Flat HyeBin is going to India too! Although I am not able to go to India with the "Making a Difference" Focus program team... I will be following all my teammates through this blog.
"Yesterday is History... Tomorrow is Mystery and Today is gift", I truly believe that I am gifted today with every moment with this fabulous team. Safe Trip everyone!

David is an active member of the Focus program.  Aka George - we are excited to have Flat David/George with us for the trip.

Natalya is excited to be going to India!

Miranda: I am really excited to finally be going to India and I am sure we will all have an amazing experience! It will be life changing to experience things from such a different perspective.

Mike- India, the final frontier...But really India, at the start of the program it was an abstract idea, merely a far away goal that I didn't think we would ever get to expereince. But here we are. Being the only male student should prove to be quite...interesting. A personal goal I have is to learn enough language to be able to hold a conversation with someone.

Phoebe We've finally made it!

Claire- I am very much looking forward to experiencing India's culture with all my friends and gaining a new perspective on life. I can't believe our trip has become a reality and that we are leaving so soon!

Katie- She got her India visa!! She is very excited about going to India.

Bailey - I am part of the World Issues class and will be with the Focus Program in spirit on their trip to India! I will be following their travels through the blog and can't wait to hear about their amazing adventures.  A Flat Bailey is joining us on our travels since Bailey has been on many of the local Focus Trips!

And finally Ms Scarlett and Nick - we both can't believe this is actually occurring!

Thank you Blazers for starting this entire adventure in the fall of 2007.

Nick and I with Angel Gingras in November 2008 - India.
Thank you Angel for making this trip possible for the Bayridge students!
